Hi there, I'm Prisha! 👋
I'm a junior studying Computer Science and Mathematics at UIUC, with a minor in Statistics. I like turning messy problems, in code, data, or systems, into ones I can actually solve.
I've always loved problem solving, algorithms, and finding my way through a puzzle. When I was younger that meant memorizing algorithms for my Rubik's cube, working through sliding puzzle games, and grinding out 2048 until I hit 8192. These days it looks more like the CS work below, or on a slower night, NYT Games, LinkedIn's puzzles, Flow, Mastermind, and pretty much any crossword I can get my hands on. - Built a C++ libpcap tool to losslessly compress IEX DEEP PCAP feeds, achieving up to 95% size reduction.
- Designed price/time field-specific compression using delta encoding, header compaction, and LZ4/Zstd entropy coding.

- Grew up a few miles from Grant Park, so I turned 20 years of Lollapalooza lineups into a data story: has my hometown festival actually gone mainstream?
- Average artist popularity is up ~13-15 points since 2005, accelerating right as Spotify went global.
- Built a chatbot (React + Claude API) so you can just ask it about the findings instead of digging through a report.

- Got hooked on a one-player puzzle board game called Flow Slider while bouldering — it was left behind at the gym, but I couldn't stop thinking about it.
- The only app version was riddled with ads and had a rough UI, so I built my own clean, ad-free web version.
- Shared it with coworkers, who shared it further — grew to 100+ users at its peak with zero marketing.
- I like building software to solve my own problems, no matter how small.
